Where to found the Vías Verdes?
Vías Verdes are across whole Spain. Some of them are pretty close by our stays and worth a (day)trip. For example, in Dénia, Alcoi or Torrevieja there are Vías Verdes up to 10 km. Inland of Alicante is the beautiful Vía Verde of Maigmó. With 22 kilometres worth a trip and certainly an active work-out. Lunch halfway at the restaurant La Cierva with traditional food.
The Vía Verde at Dénia is a recommendable trip for families. An easy track manders through flowering orange fields, parallel at the sea. Above all the route is accessible for wheelchairs and kids, which makes it a real family trip. Start or close off the trip with a visit to Dénia Castle or a jump in the sea.
